Here you can download the tools created and tested through this project that aim to guide mentors and young people in the creation of a responsible walking tour in their specific contexts. The Walking Tour Course represents an innovative learning path built around 5 modules and aimed at guiding young people in the gradual acquisition of entrepreneurial as well as technical and transversal competences through the design of a Walking Tour. The modules are meant to be used by a mentor with a group of youth and are complemented by the Handbook and Toolkit for the mentor(s).

The Mentor’s Toolkit

Neither teacher, nor coach, nor trainer, the mentor is a person who can act as a role model and help the mentees in different ways. The Walking Towards Employability toolkit will allow you to understand what “being a mentor” is, how mentoring works and what is important to pay attention to, regarding the diversity and gender of members.

The Walking Tour course modules

This transversal module based on the application of the Business Model Canvas aims at guiding the youth on designing their walking tour proposal.

Module 2 (KARPOS): Asset Community Mapping through Street Audit and digital: Let us discover new perspectives!

This module guides youth on the recognition of local tangible and intangible opportunities to develop a touristic offer (learning by doing approach). The module activities aim at: closely observe via visual and audio tools communities’ characteristics; identifying the assets of our cultural heritage; share ways to promote local natural and cultural environment by the means of video production.

Module 3 (TAMAT): How to do tourism where apparently there is nothing?

The method aims at giving value to the cultural heritage of a community/ territory, encouraging youth to rediscover their environment and background, and to transform it into social value. It transfers youth the competences on narration and itinerary design.
